Felicity Jones is a British actress who is most well-known for playing the role of Jane Hawking in the critically acclaimed movie The Theory of Everything. Jones began acting at when she was 12 years old and has appeared in a variety of plays TV shows and films. Jones began her acting career with the TV movie The Treasure Seekers. The second television series she was a part of included The Worst Witch. She also portrayed Ethel Hallow on the follow-up Weirdsisters College. The first film she appeared in, Flashbacks of a Fool included her in the role of Young Ruth. Since then she's been featured in many films. In movies like The Invisible Woman or The Amazing Spider-Man 2 The Amazing Spider-Man 2, she became popular for her performances. However it was her role on The Theory of Everything' that won her an Oscar nomination for the very first time. The biopic was based on the biography of the physicist Stephen Hawking, and Jones received a lot of praise from viewers as well as critics for her flawless portrayal of Hawking's former wife. Inferno was her second film in which she starred Tom Hanks. Jones was named British Artist of Year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles for her extraordinary talent and work in the field of cinema.
